We are pleased to announce that SYRMIA is one of the participants in AWARE2ALL, a European project aiming to improve safety of Connected and Automated Vehicles addressing the diversity of occupants and road users. This project will last three years.
AWARE2ALL aims to pave the way towards the deployment of Highly-Automated Vehicles (HAVs) in traffic, by effectively addressing the changes in road safety and changes in the interaction of different road users. The Spanish RTO Vicomtech coordinates the consortium, that brings together top EU experts from research institutes, technological and industrial partners from the automotive industry, from Spain, France, Germany, Greece, The Netherlands, Serbia, Sweden and Turkey.
AWARE2ALL consortium will put special focus on underrepresented populations to ensure that results provide safety to any type of occupant (through active and passive safety systems) and human road user (with internal and external Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) solutions).
